Trading
Perpetuals
Trade perpetual futures on crypto, forex, indices, commodities, stocks and ETFs with up to 50x leverage, from one terminal.
The terminal
- Market header: mark and oracle price, 24h change and volume, open interest, and the funding rate with a countdown to the next payment.
- Chart with TradingView drawing tools and indicators.
- Order book and trades, grouped by price step, in USD or the base asset.
- Order ticket on the right, with your account information below it.
- Positions, open orders, order and trade history, funding and P&L in the tabs under the chart.
Choose a market
Click the market name (top left) to open the market list. Filter by Trending, Favorites, Stocks, Forex, Crypto, Commodities, Indices or ETFs, search by symbol, and sort by price, 24h change, funding, open interest or volume. The badge next to each symbol is its maximum leverage.
Open a position
Set margin mode and leverage
Choose Cross or isolated margin and set your leverage with the leverage button. You cannot go above the limit for that asset class.
Choose the order type
Fills immediately at the best available price. Use it when getting in or out matters more than the exact price.
Sits at your price until the market reaches it. A buy limit must be below the current price, a sell limit above it.
Waits for a trigger price, then sends a market or limit order. Use it to enter on a breakout or to add a stop.
Pick Long or Short and enter a size
Enter the size in USD or in the asset (toggle with the arrows), or use the slider to size by percentage of what is available.
Order ticket: margin mode, leverage, side, size, Reduce Only and TP/SL Add protection and place the order
Tick TP/SL to attach a take-profit and a stop-loss, or Reduce Only to make sure an order can only shrink a position. Check the order value, liquidation price, fees and cost, then click Long or Short.
Funding
Perpetuals have no expiry. Instead, longs and shorts pay each other a funding rate every hour, as on the source market. Funding is booked to your account and shown in the Funding tab. A positive rate means longs pay shorts.
Liquidation
If a position's losses use up its margin, it is liquidated at the liquidation price shown on the ticket. Long before that, your daily and max drawdown apply to your whole account. Watch Daily drawdown use on the dashboard.
Limits
- Leverage and exposure depend on the asset class. See Leverage and limits.
- Total perps exposure across all markets is capped at 20× balance (10× balance on Instant).
- Forex, indices, commodities and stocks have extra rules for news and weekends. See Forex, indices and commodities.
