FAQ
Quick answers to the questions traders ask most. Every answer links to the full page.
General
What is Backed?
Backed funds traders to trade memecoins, perpetuals and prediction markets from one account. You pay a one-time fee, trade under clear rules and keep up to 90% of your profit. See What is Backed?
Is trading on Backed real or simulated?
Accounts are simulated: trades use live market prices, but orders are not sent to an exchange. Payouts are real, paid in crypto or through Rise. See Simulated trading and risk.
Do I need trading experience?
No. The rules reward disciplined risk management, not experience. Launchpad is the easiest way to start.
Which countries can use Backed?
Backed is not available where our services are restricted by law or sanctions. The full list is in our Terms of Service.
Programs and pricing
Which program should I pick?
Launchpad if you want to start for $5. Flex for the lowest price. Sprint for faster, larger payouts. Instant to skip the evaluation. See Compare programs.
How much does an account cost?
Your fee times the program multiple equals your capital. A $100,000 account costs $400 on Flex, $500 on Sprint and $714.29 on Instant. See Pricing and account sizes.
Is there a time limit?
No. There is no maximum time to pass. Accounts with no trading for 30 days are closed.
Can I have more than one account?
Yes. Each account can hold up to $200,000, and you can hold up to $400,000 of funded capital in total.
Trading
What can I trade?
Solana memecoins, perpetuals on crypto, forex, indices, commodities and stocks, and prediction markets. All from one balance. See One account, every market.
What leverage do I get?
Up to 50x on major forex pairs, 20x on BTC, ETH and SOL, and less on other assets. See Leverage and limits.
Can I hold trades over the weekend?
Crypto, memecoins and prediction markets trade all week. Forex, futures and stock positions close on Friday 16:45 New York time unless you buy the weekend holding add-on.
Can I use bots or copy trading?
No unapproved automation. See Prohibited strategies.
Rules
How does the drawdown work?
Every account has a static max drawdown from the starting balance and a daily drawdown that resets at 17:00 New York time. Both include open profit and loss. See Drawdown.
What is the Backed Protector?
A safety net on funded accounts. If your open loss reaches the trigger, all positions close and trading pauses until the next reset. Three strikes breach the account. See Backed Protector.
What happens if I break a rule?
The account is breached and closed. You can start a new account at any time. See Breaches and inactivity.
Payments and payouts
How do I pay?
Crypto (USDT, USDC, BTC, ETH, SOL, LTC, BNB, POL, TRX), card, or your Backed balance. See How to pay.
How long does a payout take?
Payouts are reviewed and sent within 24 hours of your request. See How payouts work.
When can I take my first payout?
Once funded, after 5 green days on Launchpad, Flex and Instant, or 3 on Sprint, as long as your profit is above the payout buffer.
How do I get paid?
In the crypto of your choice (USDC, USDT, BTC, ETH, SOL and more) or through Rise, which can pay out to your bank. See Payout methods.
Do I need to do KYC?
Only once your total payouts pass $100,000. See KYC.
