Drawdown
Two limits protect every account. The max drawdown is a fixed floor from your starting balance; the daily drawdown resets every day at 17:00 New York time.
Both limits use your equity: your balance plus or minus the profit and loss of open positions. An open loss counts the moment it happens, not only when you close.
Max drawdown (static)
The max drawdown is a fixed floor: starting balance minus the max drawdown %. It never trails your profits.
| Program | Max drawdown | Floor on a $100,000 account |
|---|---|---|
| Launchpad (evaluation) | 8% | $92,000 |
| Launchpad (funded) | 5% | $95,000 |
| Flex | 8% | $92,000 |
| Sprint | 6% | $94,000 |
| Instant | 6% | $94,000 |
If your equity touches the floor, the account is breached.
The floor moves up at your first payout
When your first payout is paid, the floor moves up to your starting balance and stays there. You must keep at least $100 above it after any payout.
Flex $100,000
Before your first payout the floor is $92,000. After it, the floor is $100,000, so a payout can never take your balance below $100,100.
Daily drawdown
Each day starts at 17:00 New York time. The daily limit is measured from your balance at the start of the day and resets every day.
| Program | Daily drawdown | On a $100,000 account |
|---|---|---|
| Launchpad | 4% (2.5% funded) | $4,000 ($2,500) |
| Flex | 4% | $4,000 |
| Sprint | 3% | $3,000 |
| Instant | 3% | $3,000 |
Sprint $100,000
Your balance at 17:00 is $103,200. The daily limit is 3% of your starting balance ($3,000), so your equity must stay above $100,200 until the next reset. Open losses count.
What happens at the limit
If equity reaches either limit, every open position is closed and the account is breached. See Breaches and inactivity.
