Market manipulation

Coordinating trades with others to move a price, promoting ("shilling") a token you hold, or using social media or private groups to influence a market you trade.

Trading tokens you launched or are tied to

Trading any token you, your team, friends, family or associates launched, deployed, funded or provide liquidity for, on any launchpad or chain. This includes honeypot tokens and single-sided liquidity schemes.

Launchpad address workarounds

Only tokens from supported launchpads (pump, bonk, bags and brrr) can be traded. Creating vanity contract addresses, or any other trick to make a token look eligible, is prohibited.

Abusive scalping

Rapid open-and-close trading designed to exploit price updates rather than to trade the market. If 50% or more of an account's round-trip trades are held for under 30 seconds, the account is in breach.

Exploiting the platform

Using price delays, stale quotes, errors or bugs; hedging between your own accounts or with another trader to guarantee a pass; or any attempt to bypass risk controls. If you find a bug, report it and we will thank you for it.

Unapproved automation

Bots, scripts or copy-trading services that place trades without you. Backed's own tools and approved integrations are allowed.

Gambling behaviour

Staking most of your account on single all-or-nothing positions with no risk management, over and over, in the hope of one big win.

Insider trading

Trading on non-public information about listings, liquidity events, platform changes or market outcomes, including through private groups.

Account sharing

Letting someone else trade your account, trading for someone else, or holding more than one Backed profile.

How we check

We review trading patterns, on-chain data for memecoins, hold times, correlations between accounts and wallets, and device and payment signals. Payout requests are reviewed before they are sent.
